Jana began the position of hostess January 1, 2004.  She had previously gained experience by volunteering with previous hostesses and by watching both of her grandmothers.  They were very instrumental in teaching her to prepare "good ole home cooking" as is evidenced by the family cookbooks Jana has produced.  Her responsibility includes working closely with the staff and church members to order, prepare, and serve the food for events and meetings. The regular Wednesday evening meal is her primary responsibility.  She feels strongly that God's family should show hospitality to its guests and each other so that Christ may be glorified.       

 

Jana and her husband Ron have been members of FBC since 1979 except for a few years spent in Houston, Texas.  She and Ron have two grown children, and 5 grandchildren.  Their daughter Kim lives in Mary Esther, Florida, and their son Kevin is stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
