Geared for Grades 1- 6
Upward promotes character and self-esteem in every child by providing a substitution system that promotes equal playing time for each player and an evaluation process to provide equal teams and equal opportunity for improvement. Each child signs up individually, not as a team. There are weekly practices and games where each player gets equal play time every time. Players will learn new drills to improve their skills from experienced coaches. Upward recognizes each player in a special way each week, following the game, in a team awards ceremony. Basketball gear is also part of the package! Kids will receive a T-Shirt, Jersey, shorts, car magnet and an end of season award.

Upward Cheerleaders cheer at weekly practices and games as well. They learn new routines and positive cheers to encourage the players on the court every week. Each cheerleader receives a uniform that includes a top, bottom, megaphone, poms, car magnet and an end-of-season award. Upward Cheerleaders have special recognition ceremonies after every game.

Most importantly, players and cheerleaders learn about life principles Jesus taught.
